ABOYERD is governed by a Board of Directors composed of a diverse group of experienced professionals with proven track records in different fields (Conservation, Finance, Law, etc.). The board provides strategic guidance and oversight to ensure that ABOYERD remains true to its mission and vision.
Operational activities at ABOYERD are managed by a dedicated team of young professionals comprising conservation scientists, educators, community facilitators, and administrative staff. This diverse team collaboratively implements programs effectively and engage stakeholders meaningfully.
The organizational structure of ABOYERD is designed to promote collaboration, transparency, and accountability, which are essential for delivering impactful conservation and community development initiatives. At the core of this structure is the administration, headed by the Executive Director, who oversees the day-to-day management and coordination of the organization’s activities.
ABOYERD is composed of five key departments, each specializing in critical areas to support the organization’s mission:
- Research Department – Conducts scientific studies and data collection to inform conservation strategies and policy recommendations.
- Environmental Education and Conservation Awareness Department – Develops and implements educational programs to raise awareness about environmental stewardship within communities.
- Livelihoods Department – Focuses on sustainable livelihood initiatives that empower local communities while promoting conservation goals.
- Finance Department – Manages budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure the organization’s financial health and compliance.
- Administration – Oversees overall organizational management, human resources, and coordination among departments, led by the Executive Director.
Together, these departments work under the supervision of the administration to ensure cohesive program delivery, efficient resource utilization, and strong stakeholder engagement.
